Rosie Best-Cutrer has been telling stories professionally for the past twenty-two years presenting at schools, libraries, museums & festivals. She has also been invited to perform at The Kansas City Irish Festival, The Kansas Storytelling Festival in Downs Kansas, The Land Rush Festival in Choctaw Oklahoma, Winter Tales in Kearney Nebraska, The Homestead National Monument in Beatrice, Nebraska and The Cape Girardeau Storytelling Festival in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Eight years ago Rosie became an international teller when she presented her programs in libraries and schools in County Wexford and County Antrim, Ireland.
Rosie learned the art of storytelling as a teacher, through her studies of theater in college and later in professional and community theater productions. Cutrer also has received storytelling coaching from other area storytellers and at numerous national storytelling conferences. In 2007 Rosie’s two storytelling CDs won awards from The Children’s Music Web for best spoken word for both older and younger children.
