Teller of tales, presenter of workshops & keynotes, Greg Weiss is equally at home with children through adults, appearing at festivals, schools, libraries, churches, PTA meetings, conferences around the Midwest and beyond. A sampling of his appearances include the St. Louis Storytelling Festival, Three Rivers Storytelling Festival, Belleville Festival of Stories, National Storytelling Network Conference, Northlands Storytelling Conference, International Reading Association Conference, Homewood Public Library, The Center at Palos Park, Celtic Knot Public House, Homewood Stories…He is a contributing author to The Storytelling Classroom (2006) and Literacy Development in the Storytelling Classroom (2009). As a public school teacher, Greg taught storytelling, theatre and public speaking, for almost 30 years. He directed over 100 productions and produced several storytelling events, featuring his students and some of the nation’s fi nest storytellers. His work earned him the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award from the Illinois Humanities Council. He travels and is available for workshops & residencies, as well as storytelling & special occasion speeches. Greg is also renowned for his vivid one-man dramatic reading of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
