“Enchanting and magical,” Katie Knutson is a Professional Storyteller and Teaching Artist. Regularly performing for both adults and children, Katie works as a Storyteller, Actor, Writer, Director and Educator. She writes an on-going column in Storytelling Magazine and is a guest lecturer at local colleges. Knutson is a SELCO Vetted Performer and a Teaching Artist for both Stages Theatre Company and Stepping Stone Theatre.

Katie specializes in Storytelling and Drama Integration with the K-5 Curriculum and has presented numerous workshops for teachers, storytellers, and students around the USA and Canada. Thanks to a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, she spent 2013-2014 as the Storyteller-in-Residence for Folwell School, Performing Arts Magnet, a K-8 school in Minneapolis where she integrated Storytelling and Drama into Science, Math, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Character Education, and Music Curriculum. She has extensive experience with ELL (English Language Learners) and is developing Bilingual (Spanish/English) Stories and Residencies.
